Blog Reflection Paper
Blog Reflection Paper
One of the best tips I reviewed was to use technology. That’s easier said than done because using technology for a blog is common. However, it must be used to your advantage. For example, you need to create a blog environment that users will be attracted to and want to read the blog. I’ve read many blogs, and many of them are lengthy or tend to go in circles instead of getting to the point. Getting right to the point allows users to be intrigued while continuing to read things on the go. Another important tip that was my favorite, according to the article 4 Tips for Blogging Success, is “Know who you are speaking to.” It’s important to know what is the target audience for the blog to be able to captivate and help them reach their goals. The purpose of my blog reflection is to ensure that in the near and distant future, users have a place to go to learn and absorb information from a relaxed source and apply it to their studies and field.
One issue I encountered when creating my blog was that I was unsure how to link various posts to each other and decipher the difference between a post and a page. Trial and error were my best friends because I tried multiple times to create a page, and it wouldn’t open, create a post, or load. Thankfully, I was able to create a page with various posts. I think my blog can be a tool for users attempting to understand the fundamentals of IT. I ensured my posts were brief and concise. Being in the IT world does not guarantee that users will want to read a lot. They want to get to the point but still learn something. I plan to maintain my blog by updating it with new topics to help end users. I am approaching my final classes, but I know some essential topics will help beginners. I also plan to update it as I go into my Master’s degree, as then I can gear the blog towards a more “tips and tricks” for the IT world type of feel.
